The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a comedy science fiction series created by Douglas Adams. Originally a radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1978, it was adapted to other formats and became an international multi-media phenomenon. The first novel in the series features Arthur Dent, a hapless Englishman. One Thursday lunchtime, the Earth gets unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. In the seconds before global obliteration, Arthur is plucked from the planet by his friend Ford Prefect and together the pair venture out across the galaxy on the craziest, strangest road trip of all time.
